This gold concentrator was invented and is made in Australia by Cresswell Engineering.  It concentrates up to 10 times quicker than a conventional gold pan. It is lightweight, weighing 3.75 kg, and is portable. Inside the 20 litre bucket is the zinc plated sieve and receiving bowl.

The concentrator works when the bucket is filled with water, the receiving bowl and spinning sieves are placed on top and then the wash dirt is fed into the top of the receiving bowl.  The operator then works the two handles back and forth and the heavies are concentrated in the bottom of the receiving bowl. The light material ends up in the bucket.  The operator can then remove the receiving bowl and locate the gold, the gold is panned off in a standard gold pan.   The bucket is then emptied and the process can begin again.
